Our project for the NŠK LIBRARY has been selected by the CNAPPC – The ITALIAN NATIONAL BOND OF ARCHITECTS, under the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Culture and in collaboration with the Biennale di Venezia, to be included in the sixth Yearbook, among the 88 best project realized in Italy in year 2021 (the only one in the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region).

NŠK LIBRARY IN THE 6th YEARBOOK OF THE ITALIAN NATIONAL BOND OF ARCHITECTS

Our project for the NŠK LIBRARY has won the OHS AWARD in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Open House Slovenia is part of the OPEN HOUSE WORLDWIDE network, connecting over 50 cities and areas globally. The project has been first shorlisted by a professional jury, and then selected as the first winner with a public vote.

During the meeting THE FUTURE OF DESIGN in NINGBO, CHINA, we delivered a lecture and presented our work to an enthusiatic audience.

1891 - 1914 : LA GRANDE TRIESTE EXHIBITION open now at the Ex Pescheria - former Fishmarket on the Trieste waterfront. An excursion through over 300 photographs, some of them printend in extra size format floating in the huge hall, objects and findings over the Belle Epoque period of the city, plus an aerial installation made of 13.200 meters of nautical colored cables experimenting the changes of the daylight in the space.

waltritsch a+u, in collaboration with Rndr Studio won an international competition for a set of Gates in the Mazandaran Province in North Iran. The gate is set along the costal road of the Capian Sea, and will lead to a development of private Villa's.

A delegation of Slovenian architects, members of the DPA - Društvo primorskih arhitektov - visited the Casiraghi Mediatheque and the cultural and educational KBcenter in the framework of the Week of Architecture and Territory. The visit was dedicated to Max Fabiani's projects and visions for Gorizia from the first half of the past century, and included several of our latest realizations too.

Work from the office has been selected by the National Bond of Italian Architects (CNAPPC) for the exhibition “ITALY NOW”, curated by Professor Marco Pisani. On show a selection of most representative Architectures realized in Italy in the period 2000-2010.The exhibition will be hosted by the Italian Institute of Culture in Vancouver and in Toronto during the months of March and April 2012.

The collective exhibition of the prize winning projects at the Marcello D'Olivo prize for realization of contemporary architecture in the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, organized by A+, is now hosted at the Architektur Haus Kaerenten in Klagenfurt (Austria). Beginning of the Architectural Design 4 class at the Trieste Faculty of Architecture. This year we will ask students to design a center of services open to the public in a high density area of a medium-sized cities such as Trieste. They will be asked to rewrite the grammar of a large existing city block, investigating the potential of a programmatic injection as a means of regeneration of the community life in semi-central,  residential areas, and the active role of cultural, sporting and recreational activities.
